GOLD AT THE LONDON OPEN!
Updated: Oct 11
LONDON ONTARIO – Over the past weekend (1 October 2022) The London Open, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament, was hosted in London. Four athletes successfully represented both Kilian Academy and Grey-Bruce County at this year's open.
Double Ontario Champion, Nick Mole, continued his absolute domination in the Masters 1 Light-Weight division, once again securing gold. “Nick’s domination this year of his division has been something wondrous to behold. Since last year's 2021 GTA Classic, Nick has only ceded 2 points at competitive Jiu-Jitsu, bringing home 4 gold medals. What makes him even more significant is the grace and humility in which he achieves his victories. It is regrettable that so little coverage is given to such an exceptional athlete, having to compete for acknowledgement against team sports such as hockey.” Stated Abrie Kilian, Program Director at Kilian Academy.
Megan Kuntz, entered the London Open as a dress rehearsal for the 2022 AJP Tour Canada National Pro and secured gold at the Open. “Megan is another one of our exceptional athletes. Weighing in at 115lb and training against men often twice her weight, she proves that female athletes can stand their ground.” Added Kilian.
Kilian Academy is getting ready to compete at the 2022 AJP Tour National Championship on the 15th of October 2022. The National Championship will be broadcasted online, and martial art enthusiasts are granted the opportunity to watch the matches live through the AJP Tour website.
