2022 READERS CHOICE AWARD

Kilian Academy awarded Gold as one of the best Alternative Fitness Facilities in the region.

Owen Sound - The 2022 Owen Sound Sun Times' annual Readers’ Choice Awards have just concluded. The contest is a celebration of the best Owen Sound and surrounding areas have to offer when it comes to Food & Drink, Style & Beauty and Living & Home. Shallow Lake’s Kilian Academy was once again one of the top recipients and honoured with two awards this year. Similar to 2021, The Academy was awarded gold as one of the best Alternative Fitness Facilities in Grey Bruce County. With the Academy’s expansion into conventional Fitness, Kilian Academy was also awarded silver, as one of the best Fitness Facilities in Grey-Bruce County.

Kilian Academy, was established in Owen Sound in 2019 and relocated to Shallow Lake in 2022, and has grown to one of the largest Martial Arts and Fitness establishments in Grey-Bruce County. Currently home to two Canadian Champions and 5 Ontario Champions, the Academy continues to draw athletes to the region. Furthermore, the Academy brings awareness and alternative solutions to Mental Health challenges through fitness and martial arts training.
