2021 Grey County CommunityVotes AWARDS

Grey County - The 2021 CommunityVotes Grey County Awards have just concluded. Owen Sound's Kilian Academy was one of the top recipients and honoured with gold as one of the best Fitness Centres and Gyms in the category Sports, Recreation and Fitness.

This award follows after Kilian Academy was awarded Gold earlier in 2021 by the Owen Sound Sun Times, in its annual Readers Choice Awards.

“Thank you to everyone that supported Kilian Academy through these trying times” Stated Abrie Kilian, Program Director at Kilian Academy. “As we have done before, we dedicate this award to all our athletes and those that have lost their small businesses due to the pandemic.”

Kilian Academy, was established in Owen Sound in 2019 and relocated to Shallow Lake in 2022, and has grown to one of the largest Martial Arts and Fitness establishments in Grey-Bruce County. Currently home to two Canadian Champions and 5 Ontario Champions, the Academy continues to draw athletes to the region. Furthermore, the Academy brings awareness and alternative solutions to Mental Health challenges through fitness and martial arts training.
